Greetings Campers,

This Weekend “Holy Water and Whiskey” will be performing at one of our favorite annual events:  The 13th Edgewood Arts and Music Festival held at the Wildlife West Nature Park in Edgewood.  The festival is being held Friday evening thru Sunday evening with a great lineup of local, regional and national acts.  The festival begins Friday at 6 with a chuck wagon dinner, music by the nationally renowned bluegrass group “James Reams and the Barnstormers”.  On Saturday there will be two stages running from noon to 10 p.m., and on Sunday the amphitheater will host musical performances from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.  “Holy Water and Whiskey” will be performing a gospel music set from 1 – 2 Sunday on the amphitheater stage.  The event offers free camping, workshops and open jams as well as jugglers on Saturday and Sunday for the kids and a fabulous art show thru-out the park.   Any young student that brings an instrument gets in FREE to the Festival.  In addition to the music and other events, folks can also see the zoo animals and other park features.

This very popular festival is held in Edgewood, just 30 minutes east of the Big I.  Last year, to help insure safe and expedient transportation to and from the festival for a bunch of our friends, we hired a transportation company that we found for a very reasonable rate.  We discovered that the reason for the reasonable rate was that they tended to cut corners when it came to passenger safety and approved number of passengers.

After making it to the festival, many of our friends were “reluctant” to make the return trip with the same company, so we had to ferry them back to Albuquerque in our band van.  It took 34 trips.  This year our friends assured us that they could provide their own transportation.

Take Care, hope to see you soon.
